Beta terms

Who provides MechLab
MechLab is operated by Gorkem Efe Ersoj in Enschede, Netherlands. Contact mechlab.app@gmail.com about the service, these terms or an account problem.
An educational early-access service
MechLab provides study explanations, practice questions, interactive engineering calculations and selected practical activities. The beta is an evolving learning resource, not a complete university course, an accredited qualification or a professional engineering service.
Access is subject to eligibility checks and available tester places. Verified applicants with a completed profile can receive a one-time 30-day access period automatically; the period starts at approval and does not renew when a profile is resubmitted. Creating an account does not guarantee admission. The current beta does not charge a subscription fee. Any future paid offering will require separate, clearly presented pricing and agreement; joining this beta does not authorise a payment.
Your account
Provide accurate application information, keep your sign-in methods secure and use your own account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Use the service only where you can lawfully enter this agreement; if parental or guardian authorisation is required, obtain it before applying.
We may limit, suspend or end beta access for misuse, security reasons, programme capacity or closure. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact us. You can stop using MechLab at any time and request account closure by email.
Use learning materials responsibly
You may use MechLab for your own learning and coursework, subject to your institution's academic-integrity rules. Do not submit another person's work as your own, bypass access restrictions, interfere with the service or upload unlawful material or material you lack permission to share.
MechLab's learning materials and software remain the property of their respective rights holders. Access gives you permission to use the service for its intended educational purpose, not to resell it or redistribute the complete content library. Rights permitted by law remain unaffected.
Engineering limitations
Calculations use stated assumptions, simplified models and limited input ranges. Check units, inputs, assumptions and results independently. Errors, missing content and interruptions can occur during testing.
Do not rely on MechLab alone for safety-critical design, manufacturing release, construction, certification or decisions that could cause injury or property damage. Obtain appropriate professional review for real engineering applications. MechLab does not certify that a design meets a standard or is safe to build.
Your notes, progress and feedback
You retain ownership of your own work. Notes, practice progress, saved subjects and engineering projects currently remain in your browser profile rather than an account-synchronised cloud workspace. Other people using the same browser profile may see them. Export backups before clearing site data, changing devices or closing your account.
Feedback you deliberately submit is stored on the server for review. You give MechLab permission to use that feedback to investigate problems and improve the service. This does not transfer ownership of your coursework or grant permission to publish your identity as an endorsement. Do not include confidential third-party information or sensitive personal information in feedback.
Changes and responsibility
Features and beta availability may change. For a material change to these terms we will publish a new version and, where continued use requires agreement, request acceptance of that version. We will not treat acceptance of this version as agreement to an undisclosed future paid service.
We do not promise uninterrupted operation, a particular academic outcome or error-free results. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our responsibility for a loss is determined by applicable law; this agreement does not impose a blanket waiver of your statutory rights.
Questions and disputes
Contact mechlab.app@gmail.com first so we can try to resolve a problem. Dutch law applies, without removing mandatory protections available to you under the law of your habitual residence. These terms do not require you to use an exclusive foreign court or give up a legally available complaint or remedy.
